What does Total Quality Disability Care stand for?

Total Quality Disability Care is a registered provider of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and was established in early 2019 to meet the needs of clients in the community of Southwestern Sydney.

We provide high-quality and genuine support services to vulnerable people of all ages. The initial idea of Total Quality Disability Care was first thought of by the Director in 2015 and was driven by the passion to give back to the community. Total Quality Disability Care assists those individuals who need in-home personal care and domestic assistance, as well as in the aged care sector.

Positions

Community Support Workers, help to support people with disabilities who may require domestic assistance and help with recreational activities. Having a fun, down-to-earth personality whilst also being able to maintain high ethical levels, continuously while dealing with people with disabilities, families, colleagues, and other members of the community.

Disability Support Workers Independent living, this position requires a highly motivated and reliable, person who has the capability to work autonomously 24/7, to provide in-home care and assistance for people living with a disability.

Support Worker Aged Care, a friendly and social personality will really help build relationships with seniors, carers, and their families. This role helps to provide personal care, medication monitoring, domestic care, nutrition, and social support to those living in aged care facilities.

These positions are base level, and the requirements are listed below, however, there are other positions within Total Quality Disability Care, that might be more suited to your skill set and experiences.

What Qualifications will you require?

To become any of the listed positions, here is a list of qualifications and attributes, that we would like you to have:

Community Support Worker

  • Minimum Certificate 3 in Disability, Social Work, Education, Leisure and Recreation, or related behavioral science qualifications.
  • Have experience working with people with disabilities, particularly in dealing with complex healthcare and behavior support needs
  • Have a can-do attitude, a high level of motivation, and an energetic approach
  • A high level of professionalism and interpersonal skills
  • Are responsive to the needs of people being supported
  • An ability to appreciate that all people have the right to respect and confidentiality
  • Have fun – with the provision of support to people within their home and/or in the community
  • Access to a reliable and comprehensively insured vehicle that you are prepared to use for work purposes
  • Access to a smartphone that you are prepared to use for work purposes
  • Basic IT skills
  • A current National Police Check, dated within the last 6 months
  • A working with children checkfor paid employment
  • A current first aid certificate
  • Ability to be flexible and committed to working shifts in our Community Support team
  • Disability Support Workers Independent living
  • Previous experience in working with people with disabilities, including those with high to very high support needs and complex behavioral needs, their families, and carers.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the Disability Service Standards and ability to promote the rights of people with disabilities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing an environment free of abuse or harm to vulnerable people
  • Ability and willingness to work a 24/7 rotating roster
  • Constructive communication skills and focus on teamwork
  • An energetic, flexible, and proactive approach to supporting people with disabilities and an understanding of person-centered planning principles.
  • Commitment to observing and implementing WH&S requirements.
  • Current unencumbered NSW driver’s license
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Basic computer skills including the ability to use email.
  • Current National Criminal Record Check (NCRC) and Working with Children Check (WWCC) that meet our employment criteria or willingness to obtain one at own expense before commencing employment with Total Quality Disability Care
  • Certificate III in Disability Studies or equivalent or relevant industry experience
  • Support Worker
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care)/Cert III in Aged Care or Cert III in Home and Community Care
  • Experience working within the Aged Care Sector
  • Current Australian driver’s license
  • Registered vehicle with comprehensive insurance
  • Current First Aid certificate
  • Current Police Check – no older than six months old or willing to obtain at own expense
  • Flexible to work mornings, afternoons and evenings
  • On-call availability and weekend work may also be required
  • Ideally, you are a positive person, who can build a rapport quickly with customers. You will have strong communication skills and the ability to adapt and work with customers from all walks of life.
